Splash guard destroyed!

I have no idea how, or why, but I looked under my car, it looked as if something was hanging down, and it seems my right splash guard is destroyed, and my timing belts are exposed(somewhat). I want to change this as soon as possible, but i want to know if this has happened to anyone, and how much would this part cost at a junyard? Is it dangerous to drive like this?

not dangerous per say, your enging compartment will just get dirty easier. Itsa flimsy piece of plastic they come off of cars all the time. Shouldnt be more than a few dollars at a junkyard.

My driver side was hanging low for a long time and then my passenger side did the same thing (plastic broke off where it was screwed into by the engine side). One day is reversed into an alley and one of the plastics hit the ground and got bent. Couldn't drive the car like that since they were scraping the ground so I just took them off. This was back in October and nothing bad so far...
