Temp Gauge Taking Long To Adjust

Sup I've noticed lately I turn on the car leave it on for 10-20min and the gauge still reads cold after I drive around maybe for another 30 min or so, it finally goes to the middle, this has been going on since late autumn, just wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this? Should I worry? Any solutions?

It's not the gauge.

It's your thermostat.

My car is also taking a while to heat up as well, i realize i do live in new england but it seems likes its taking an unusually long time. JEPHT20 did a fluid flush and I think thermostat change and says his car heats up SOOO fast and the heat is really hot.

soo...thinking I might do that. ALSO do thermostats fail!? or when should they be changed and same with fluid flush - how often?

Thermostats do freeze up, stopping or slowing the flow of coolant. Usually slower heat, or no heat is a good symptom to go by.
