Bunch of videos of new WSP/Budget/Magnaflow exhaust

Holy crap. My car went from almost stock, to stock car overnight.

WSP Y-Pipe / Budget B-Pipe with Magnaflow Resonator / Magnaflow 14827 Muffler

I've had the Y-pipe since a month after I bought the car. I just ordered the b-pipe last week since my stock one was rusted-out. The magnaflow was also ordered last week, because I liked the way it looked to be honest.

Before I catch a firestorm of flames for the amount of noise, here are a few pics:

OK. The car is a bit louder than I was expecting. For some reason I thought Soul Fly had an UNresonated b-pipe, so I was thinking a resonated one shouldn't make any more noise. Wrong.

At low RPM, the exhaust just grumbles. Idle is quiet, but very deep... Once you hit the gas, the volume jumps about 20dB.

It honestly sounds like dumps when I floor it with the windows open. It also growls once the RPM's start to climb, but doesn't get any louder past 4-5000 rpm really.

You will not sneak up on anybody with this exhaust. It's kind of funny now, but I might lose it once I start commuting again.

Here are the vids. Most sound pretty good despite the a/d camerawork. The avi files are from yesterday when it was raining and couldn't get traction. The wmv files are from this afternoon.

First off, I almost hit 2 deer before even getting started!

The .avi videos made it sound good. I don't know, I just don't know.

My friend has that same catback on his '01 Civic and it sounded pretty tight until he got a new downpipe and high flow cat. Then it sounded too raspy. But your right it does look pretty cool.

not too bad at all, a little on the raspy side, but it kinda adds to the appeal a little bit. Sounds really deep inside the car.

The raspyness when revving in neutral = rice to some.

I like the way it sounds. My stereo will drown it out at freeway speeds, so droning isn't gonna be too bad of an issue. I drove a civic with header and N1 cat-back forever, so this is not bad.

It's hard to get across in video, but in real life, the car is seat-shakingly loud. That is the only thing I will miss - stealth mode. I have gone from never getting a second look, to people turning their heads to see what is making the noise. The biggest kick in the nuts is that the car is loudest at low rpms.

As long as you are not a ninja, I would recommend the exhaust if you like loud stuff.. Not for someone who wants a quiet, or close-to-stock sound.

I like it the sound of it. sounds like mine but I just have a WSP Y and a dual tipped Oval muffler off of ebay. I'm getting rid of it soon thoug because I want to switch to a flowmaster 40 series. The only thing I didnt like is when you were revving at a stop, it was too high pitched but other than that it sounded awsome! Especially inside the car, sounds like a beast. Keep up the good work man.

did you get a bolt-on rear section made out of your muffler? or did you weld on the b-pipe? it's not too bad for me... but it is a little raspy. i think it's just the muffler design... although i love the way the tip looks...

They torched off the old b-pipe (which kept an O2 sensor btw), and then had to cut out an inch or so from the budget b-pipe after test fitting it. It's all new 2.5" SS piping from the cat-back.

Here is the b-pipe the night before it was installed:

The revving videos are the ones I didn't want to post, but figured someone would ask for anyway. Having an automatic, I don't get the chance to rev w/o the engine being under load very much anyway - so idle and acceleration are the two main things.
