Read the FAQS & Stickies. I posted the instructions in there.

I've tried to program mine but i can't get it to work, brand new battery in my remote and tried any position close to the Homelink buttons, it won't even recognise my remote, this sucked for me....

that's the steps i used to program it, step 4 is just not happening though. I might as well call homelink, they might be able to help me out... I know i have "rolling code" on my garage door opener, but it's step 4 that's giving me trouble.

I have the same problem. Homelink didn't upgrade their units for rolling code until later in '97. Mine was made in November of 96, so I'm out of luck according to Homelink. Too bad...it's a great feature to have.
