after my drifitng accident in the snow hitting the curb and bending the front wheel in my car is still effed up.

i took the car home at noon, as the day progressed around 4 hours after getting the car i hear this rough clicking noise coming from the front end. This noise only occurs when the wheel is turned slightly and it seems it clicks faster as i increase speed, and louder with more rotation of the wheel. i looked in either side of the wheel well and saw nothing bad only my nice new control arm and new kyb gr2's. the alignment is still off a little bit and i also felt that the wheel vibrates at speeds over 60mph.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING 2 ME?

i think it can be a bad cv boot, rack and pinoin or somthing more simple. PLEASE help

keep in mind the stuts are brand new and so is the right control arm..

hmmmm

is a cva different from a cv boot?

it hit the right side. the right cv boot looks streched and the left seems fine. should i replace the whole axle or just the right cv. where can i get the cv with grease and all the parts i need? is this operation to change it myself hard 2 do?

this may sound very wierd but if your tires arent balaced perfectly the car will shimmy and feel bumpy and noisy when speeding and gets worse as u speed up (just a thoguht to help) but since u got hit up front mught have thrown a weight off or a piece of weight broke off from in the back or front depending on ur wheels or rims (usually sticked on wit 2 sided tape if u dont have a lip like stock wheels) but look into that might be combo that and the cv joints. Could also be the wheels bearing. good luck man

Definitely sounds like the axle. replace it. Once it's clicking it's too late to just regrease it.

why are yu duck a Di*k to everyone. man if you cannot say anything nice just shut your mouth......you donot help anyone for **** all you do is bash. damn man....

if you are getting your axles replaced to not take it to dealer they will rape you with the clap. just to a tire place and usually they will charge around 200-250 for a rebuilt axle with boots, re grease your bearings and all that good stuff inculding labor.

It should be more like $70 for the axle (after you return the core) at any autoparts place (ie autozone) and another $50 for labor (or whatever an hours labor is there).

BTW I had an accident a few years ago and i hit the right front tire. I had to replace Axle, Spindle, Strut, and few other small things. Although yours sounds like the axle problem, I would also check the spindle. I replaced everything and the car was still making noise with a lot of vibration, mechanic took another look at the spindle and saw it was bent ever so slightly that it caused the problem. replaced it and everything was running like new.
