I was just worried about breaking it other wise i would have just tightened the bar down and not worried about it. Here are some pics of the thing im talking bout....

What is that thing, anyways? It looks like it should be a basic-ish part... something to do with the intake? Someone more knowledgable should know at a glance. (Nismotic, Maximus_95? How about it, with your thousands of posts? Hehe...) My manuals are at school, and I'm home for the holidays, or I'd look it up.

What brand of bar did you get? I have a Cattman sitting in my garage, waiting to be installed, so I'm interested in figuring this out too... It doesn't look like the thingy will interfere with my bar, but I haven't actually held it in place to see yet, so I could be wrong.

Man that's the "Evap Check Valve Thinggy Magiggy" or something like that. It's something in the Evap system. Just onbolt it and let it hang. The other stuff connected to it will keep it in that general area (over the IM), so dont worry about it falling or anything.

Nismology's old MEVI didn't have a hole to bolt up that Evap thing, so it was just sitting on the manifold. Its not heavy so don't worry about it vibrating and annoying you or doing anything bad.

^^^ clean bay!!! i wish mine was that clean... i never find the time to touch it up though, so maybe thats why...

i ordered one off ebay, they sent it with two of the same side brackets, so i sent it back, and now another is on its way... its too dark to tell, but i don't think i have that thing either...

The black circle you are pointing to is the EVAP Canister Purge Control Valve. Your EVAP system is yet another emission reduction thing. It is designed to reduce the amount of hydrocarbons released into the air from your fuel system. Now the Canister Purge Control Valve in the EVAP system shuts off the vapor purge line
during decelerating and idling. Whereas if you are under normal operating conditions
the valve is usually open.

I wouldnt see harm in relocating it. Just either extend the hoses and zip tie to another place. Its not a big part so like somone else was saying its not gonna rattle. I wouldnt just disconnect it cause that might throw you a CEL and besides you are poluting. Hope that helps dude.
