Climate Control Display

Alright, so when I got my car a year ago, my climate control buttons would not light up at night. I know that I can do without them, but I'd like them to work. What are my options to fix? Is it simply burned out bulbs? Would installing LEDs fix the problem?

There are four bulbs in the auto climate control, and apparently they all tend to go out at the same time. You can get replacement bulbs at the dealer for $5-10 each. Just went through this myself, there are several posts in this regard. You can also do an LED mod, just search the forum for details....

do I have to get the bulbs from the dealer, or can I go to radio shack or an auto parts store to get them? Anyone know the size that they are?

The stock bulbs are a bit larger than the ones you get from Radio shack, so the blue bulb condom won't fit on them properly. You can make it work with some patience. If you don't use the bulb covers, the backlight won't match the rest of the dash. If you don't want to hassle with it, go to the dealer and buy the bulbs. They had to special order them for me, but in the mean time I just went the Radio Shack route. Works good, maybe a hint dimmer than the stock bulbs... but MUCH cheaper.
