Get a limited slip from a Canadian maxima or Infiniti I30.

Are you serious?

It's going to be cheaper, easier, and smarter to sell your car and buy an early 90s AWD talon/eclipse.

You are gonna get flamed for being such a noob but i'll tell you what I know:

There are no "kits" available to make our cars rwd or awd. As far as engine swaps and making it rwd......Anything is possible with money.....This would be possible, but it'll cost you A LOT!!......No one has done this before. The only engine swap we can do is a VQ35 swap. Ask Tilley for details on that....We can do a ton of mods(IMO) to our cars. Just check the mods sticky at the top of the page. Any more questionsfeelfree to ask us AFTER YOU READ ALL THE STICKIES and can't fnd an answer there.

Welcome to the woderful world of FWD and maximas.

I just saw a complete maxima/skyline/supra/skoda awd duper super swap on ebay for $5.00

Hopefully this will save you being flamed.
There is no 2wd to awd kit for ANY nissan (that i know of and using stock components doesnt count). If you were to convert a maxima to AWD it would require either a totaly custom tranny to bolt upto a transvers 3.0 engine and a massive amount of fabrication to mount the rear axle. Or drop in a pathfinder tranny/motor/ecu/shocks... everything also massive fabbing. It would cost you 20k at LEAST. If you could do all the work yourself you might save 3 or 4 grand.

but no, there is no easy way to make a maxima awd, buy a g35x.

How about getting better tires? That is cheap and effective. AWD on a Maxima is a complex solution to a simple problem.

I installed my AWD right before we got some snow last week.. I got it in just in time. It adds some weight though, I just take it off for summer.

yea there is no Kit for AWD, if there was, I'm sure half the people on here would be.

Get good sport direction tires, rims, drop the car, rsb, y pipe, greddy SP, LSD tranny, sythetic fluids all around. SS brake lines, SS clutch line, MEVI, and ECU.

that should ge the max just how you want it, since you seem to have money for a AWD kit, then that should be nothing.

but if you really want rwd, or AWD, then get a RWD or AWD car, you'll save a lot in the end.

You guys are @ssholes lol all of u should be ashamed of yourselves, u were all n00bs too at one point, instead of wasting the whole post flaming the guy u coulda just gave him a simple (correct answer) and some i guess thats better than nothing. Correct answer...

No u cannot convert a maxima to awd, just NO. With money bla bla bla, with money u could make it a ferrari by taking the maxima letters off the back, running the entire car off a cliff, then glueing the maxima letters to the ferrari so that answer is bogus. As far as not being able to convert any Nissan from 2wd to awd, thats totally wrong both skylines and silvia's can be converted either way (and 240sx's also) so its possible... it just helps if u start with a Rwd car so that the engine is at least facing the correct way. The limited slip will just give u traction to both front tires instead of having just one spinning under load. Hope that helps, and to avoid more of this, reading the stickies is probably a good idea, although i don't even remember this being covered in them <shrug>
