can the org be wrong???

i wondering The org stated that Gle Maxima don't have speed limiter. Well i push my max to the limit I have a 99 Gle Max. And the top speed i went was about 120. Shouldn't it be faster than 120.

Were you holding out the 3rd gear till redline or you let it shift into 4th? On autos they don't have enough topend power thus you need to hold out 3rd all the way.

You will know, without a doubt, if you have a speed limiter. When you get up to about 117mph (indicated) the fuel cuts off and the engine speed drops to idle.

If your car just eases up to 120 or so and stays there, it's just run out of power, not hit the limiter.

Just turn off OD until your about to hit the redline...I don't even have an auto and I know that.

Ben, you know entirely too much about being at that speed...you need to slow down .

Your car has 4 gears... 1 - 2 - D (3) - OD (4)

To hold 3rd, turn off Overdrive.

if you cut a hole in the floor and start running like the flintstones, you might get to 125+.

You have a bad Rear O2 sensor if your doing the 4th gear lockout method and only getting 120MPH.

BTW, there is no way in hell your hitting 140. ~138MPH is my current top speed. Err... Actually my current top speed is 0MPH.

For everyone who is doubting, I will reiterate that no GLE's have speed limiters.
