for those who change their guage lights to white

well i put these 'xenon' bulbs or so they say they are xenon bulbs but they do light up very white and i ran into a little problem. all the guages lit up bright but the rpm or tach and the temp guage lights up a more purple shade than the others. anybody else having the same problem? i tried switching them around but it was the same thing so it wasnt the bulbs. any help?

I think he is talking about the 194 wedge bulbs that you can put behind the gauges - check ebay or I heard there is a guy on the org selling leds at a good price

I wanted my dash to be bright white. So I was going to put in bright white LED's. When I did this, I got the baby-blue purpleish color you're talking about. The inside of the gauges seems to be slightly tinted so that when you put in the stock bulbs with the rubber sleeves, it gives you a white color, not beige. Just that it's not as bright as I'd like.

I gave up and just made my gauges red. Some people have put in Polarg hyperwhite bulbs and it seems to give off the white effect you're after. Check out wariow's sig.

the SE gauges are tinted blue so no matter how white you put it, it'll come out a lil bluish. I used cheapo ebay 194 "hyperwhite" bulbs and they're still going strong(knock on wood).
