Alternator question.......

(Flame Suit on) I know this is a dumb question and Im probably going to get flamed for asking, but how do I go about checking the amperage of my alternator. Im not a car noob, I just dont work on engines, I work on electronics...... (Flame Suit off)

Take to Autozone and let them run an alternator terst and it will tell you.

If you have the cold weather package (heated mirrors, seats, heavy starter and heavy alternator, low washer fluid warning lamp) I believe its 110 amps.

If you don't it's 100 amps
