hyper white bulbs

i bought hyper white LED bulbs from the soundfx near my house a few months ago for behind my gauges. since then, 3 of them have died. i have opened my dashboard twice to replace bulbs and now another one is flickering. i am pissed and im not gonna buy anymore of those bulbs. but i want the color white. i had blue bulbs in it before but they turned another color. so thats a no go. does anybody have any suggestions? i looked at the polargs, but they look like the blue bulbs i had in before that changed on me.
thanks

I have 5000k HIDs behind my gauges. It took a little work, but it looks great.

DO NOT get the white LEDs from Superbright. They suck. I got 6 of them 5 for my gauges and 1 more my gear shift. They turn everyone's car to purple or pink if you got black faced gauges. A waste of $15. Get the Polargs that's what I finally did a couple weeks ago. 5 M-4's and it looks amazing. Bright White is the best. The Blue glass on the Polargs is what makes the White light able to come through the filter on the Black faced gauges.

Well, yes and no. Those ARE the bulbs yes, but the gauges will look like this:

PS: Don't forget to color your needles with a red Sharpie to get that effect.

so to get my gauges to look like that, would i have to lightly sand the tops of them to avoid hot spots? or just install them as is?

No sanding at all. Put in as is.

Yeah, 5 bulbs. 97-99 Maximas have 6, but either way you needa buy 3 packs of 2 so you'll have enough bulbs regardless.

You people sound confused.

I bought the 5 led bulbs from superbrightled.com and they look nice for about a month, but after that they started to dim, and flicker.

I doubt that any Polargs bulb will provide a brighter light then oem, without generating a lot of heat.

I plan to buy better quality led bulbs to replace my current setup.

No, read the Thread. White SE gauges have no problems with pink or purple. It's only the black gauges that have a filter and you need a color that will cut through the VHT of the filter. the color that does so happens to be blue. That's why the blue glass on the Polargs works perfectly.

Yes, they are brighter than stock and bright white. Put in half Polargs and half stock and you can see how orange and dull the OEM bulbs are. For people with Black Gauges, Superbright White LEDs do not work on Black Gauges, unless you want pink or purple.
