Where can I get an antenna motor other then the dealership?

All the dealers in my area want about $400 Canadian for a new antenna motor. NAPA doesn't sell them, and I am wary of a scrapyard as I don't want the antenna motor to die out a week after I get it.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might be able to get on e for a reasonable price?

I got a stock antenna motor for my max on eBay for about $40 I think, but I just checked eBay and all they have is those universal motors, I'm not sure how well they work... Here's one of them:

Hmm that actually looks pretty good. I've heard that the universal ones have some fitment issues, but that one seems specific to certain Nissan cars. Plus for $40 it's not that bad if it doesn't work out. Thanks!

How did you do the glassmount and what did you use to plug the hole in the quarter panel?

welol glassmount in my opinion is a mistake to start..yes ironic! I ordered it at a local audio shop i go to. Radio signal sucks unless im a lot farther north from where i live, atleast 15 mins away. And for the whole i was thinking of havimg body shop do it but they wanted $100. Ha! What i did was a bit bootleg butworked perfect. I removed rod and cut the mast very low, then i capped it with a rubber top. In other wwords my antenna now looks very short and sporty. You may think its retarded, but hey looks good now.

I found a used one on www.car-part.com for $40. It's very easy to install, took about 1/2 hour. I look at it this way, why pay hundreds for a New one when the car is used?

I'm going to take a look around at scrapyards near me and see what they're charging. I'll keep you in mind though, thanks.

Nissan OEM parts have raping prices. Same aftermarket antenna motor can be found for $30 US on ebay + shipping.

This might be my last Nissan, just becasue of their pricing policy on parts.

I sopke to some people and they said it mught not be the motor as you can hear the motor trying to move the antenna up and down. but it only moves like two inches. Someone said it might be the gear that moves the antenna up and down but I don't think you can buy that seperately.
