uhh, that is false info, my needle goes down as soon as i floor it once and ive noticed that even 3-4 redlines end up with 15-20 less miles at the next fill up

there is something else contributing to that, but having a lead foot sucks the hell out of your gas tank as well. "flooring it at every stoplight" will be a big factor.

Plus that's not adding right. You can't really go by the fuel gauge to get an accurate gas mileage number.
What you have to do is hit the odometer at your next fill-up (fill the gas tank full), drive around for a while until you get at least half a tank, write down the number of gallons from the pump that you put in the car and do this;
(what it says on your odometer)/(how many gallons you just put in the car)
= Gas mileage.

Dunno what max u drive but mine (and all others) have 18.5 gal tanks. Meaning 208/18 (u never use that last .5 gal hopefully) leaving u at 11.5 mpg, or approximately what a hummer gets. You can floor it at everylight (pretty much) and get better mileage than that, i do.
