Chilton's vs. Haynes Manuals....
I need to get one of these in the near future, and just wanted to see what the general consensus is....
Does anyone have a preference over the two...
(ie. is one more descriptive / indepth)

Thanks,
Randy

The aftermarket manuals are a good choice for most home mechanics.
Haynes is better than Chilton. For a detailed comparison of manuals, see http://vbxmaxima.8m.com/manualcompare.html

I just took a look at the link you supplied. I bet the Nissan book is more expensive than the other two. diesel9119, I have never used the Chilton, but Dan said it right, the Haynes is better. It is much more detailed in every aspect of the vehicles mechanics and performance.
