strut questions

I need struts on my 99 SE. I want to go to an adjustable strut so the tokicos or KYBs will work.

Which strut is better and why?

Also was considering springs. Problem is I'm sticking with the stock wheels and cannot find springs that will retain the stock ride height. I don't think the car will look right lowered with stock wheels. Can I keep the stock springs and get the adjustable struts or does this defeat the purpose of getting adjustable struts?

thanks in advance

The illumina's are better because several people have had blown AGXs, but to my knowledge no one has blown illuminas. Lowered on stock rims still looks very good IMO. It looks like a normal car rather than the HUGE 4th gen wheel gap.
