This is my first post, so feel free to give me the full lashing of tongue.

I just bought a 96 Max SE with 206k mi. I've read through your FAQ's and didn't find exactly what I was looking for(besides standard perform. upgrades I'll get to later). I have only found three things wrong with the car so far(I haven't done a thorough run through). It needs a return cable on the sunroof, a new muffler, and the belt is no longer on the ac do to compressor seizure(supposedly). Clutch and tranny sound/feel tight and quiet. Engine is quiet until you open the hood. Then only the slightest tick-tick-tick.

Now(FINALLY!) to my question. Is there any or multiple things I can check/do for preventative maintenence? Maybe specific things that always need changed or rebuilt by this time?

ANY and ALL info is greatly appreciated.

Looks like you covered all the bases well. Some typical problems with 4th gens include various bearings in the 5spd trans, coilpacks, engine coolant temp sensor, and oil pressure sending units. All of which have symptoms which you would definately notice if they were causing a problem. Other than those things, problems with these cars are fairly rare.
