calling all Auterra owners
I just received my scanner today - and i think i've made good investment for future. I've purchased the latest and greatest version that supports CAN.
Any of you guys own that one too ? or you have the older non CAN version ? my Auterra OBD2 connector has 16 pins. From my understanding that is all i need to connect to vehicles equipped with CAN.
Also - did you have a hard time disconnecting the OBD2 connector from the one under the dash - i've had to press down on the plastic tab with flat head screwdriver to separate them.
I think i need to flile down the connector under the dash just a bit.
Nick.

I have the older version without CAN, When I get a new ride, I will probably upgrade it to the can edition. I believe the auterra cables plus pda and pda serial cable is all you need to start monitoring your maxima on the can edition. That is how it is for the non-can edition. It is pretty easy for me to disconnect the auterra from the obd2 connector. I have connected it to a WRX, Contour, Civic now and they were all easy to disconnect too.

I don't have any problems connecting or disconnecting. You'll probably need to disable fast-sampling mode or whatever it is also. The A32 ECU seems to choke on that for most folks here with Auterras.
