dealership robbing me! help!

i dropped my 97 maxima off to the dealership two days ago and told them that the alignment/steering was off and also the cel was on. well, they called me today and told me that the repairs would be over $700!!! the cel was for a pcv valve/carbon canister, i think. that would cost 325. and they told me that i needed a camber kit for the front and the back which would be 275! plus, any labor that is required. anyway, i need to find a camber kit. does anyone know where i can get a cheap one? and also, please explain this carbon canister/pcv valve thing. thanks!

The camber bolts for the front are $30 from any online retailer. Google it. There is no "kit" to adjust camber on the rear, anywhere.

Go get your car and take it back home.

Take it to a regular alignment shop to get that fixed. Clean the purge valve on the EVAP canister, reset the CEL and see if that fixes it.

I hope you learned never to take your car to the dealer unless you've already exhausted all your DIY repair options. They are an absolute last resort, not a first responder.
