Anyone know how to make these?

I found this in cardomain and I want to do it. Anyone have an idea of how to do it? How do you take off the side view mirror cover? How do you get the wires to the corner lamps so it works with the turn signals?

I don't think I've ever seen a write-up. Don't think it'd be too hard.

splice in you turn signal wire and run that up to the LED's. that would look pretty cool if you get the led's lined up straight, unlike that guy......

How do you get inside that part of the mirror in our generation max? And how do you make something like that water proof?

thats pretty cool, and a good way to get them to line up is use a piece of an old erector set as a template

Use a screwdriver and a piece of cloth to prey the mirror out of the shell. After the mirror is taken off, you can see what's inside. I would advise taking the whole unit out to work on it.

The LEDs are actually lined up straight but since the housing is curved it appears to be crooked. Also, MaximaPolak is now using amber and not blue like the pic shows. Like what nupe500 stated, this is a very old mod but still worth a bump for the newer people coming in.

Yellow or orange should be use. If you have blue installed, the cops will be harassing you.

I think that is why he changed it to amber. For those that don't know amber is orange.

yeah this is kinda old, and maximapolak is on the org here.....oh just to let u guys know....for earlier 4th gens....THE SCREWS ON THE SIDEVIEW MIRRORS WILL BREAK! they are old and rusty......they are in there tight also....get some fresh screws.....they were pretty lined up when i saw them in person, just like someone said, tap into ure turn signal covers....wire the neg ends of the resisted leds together and ground that.....then the positive ends of the leds run wires from each, bunch em together and connect to wire u ran from turn signal covers....the mirror just pops right out, its held on on all 4 sides....BE CAREFUL OR U WILL CRACK YOUR MIRROR.....make sure u get it off evenly or pry with screwdriver.....and ure in there like swimwear....

to remove sideview mirror, door panel comes off, triangle must come off, and there u have the screws that are rusted and will break off.....
