hey im going to be ording a cf hood from importfan....since most of u say its a good hood. anyway i wanted to know if there was any prep work that needed to be done to the hood before putting it on(such as drilling the holes) or are the holes already pre drilled. also i know its a good idea to have hood pins.... but until i can get them will the hood stay on with jus the stock latch safely

it's definitely going to be necessary for hood pins

:+1:

get some hood pins cause the hinge is metal but mounted to fiberglass won't help u much

and there is no extra work that needs to be done, all u need to do is align it good, cause when i installed mine i didn't and now i got a big gap on one side and u can see on the left side down there

your looking at the GTP (importfan) hood ^ with sparco hood pins.

you could put weatherstripping underneath where your hood closes on the fenders to get rid of seeing into the bay...

Thats a big gap you got there.
When I installed my hood I had the same issue.
What I did was modify the hinge on the car. I ovaled out the screw hole on the hinge so that with the hood loosley mounted on the hood it could be moved from side to side untill centered and then I tightened it down.

This is the redline hood, stick with the Import Fan hood.

flavor the max is looking great, and yes dont skip on the hood pins, if your latch breaks like mine did within a few weeks normal use (redlinemax cf hood) you will have no way to keep it from flying up while driving.
