hi-flow cats
my car is in the shop now getting diagnosed as to why its been failing smog. i think my cat is bad, and if it comes down to that i want to order a hi-flow cat.
ive already had a couple of people tell me they have passed with hi-flow cats, but i dont know what kind i need. maxmods says that custom maxima sells the random technology cat for $180. warpspeed has one for $100, but they say that it is EPA and ODB2 approved, but not CARB approved for cali and that if i want a CARB approved i gotta pay $180. dpes anyone have any experience with these cats?
what does CARB approved mean? if somehting is not CARB approved, does that mean it wont pass the emissions test or does it only mean it wont pass visual? my shop wont hastle me about the visual inspection, i just need it to pass the functional test.
