clutch pedal literally sticking to the floor

I was up at Penn State the other day and it was like 5 degrees. I turned my car on in the morning and let it warm up for a fwe mins. When i went to start my car, the clutch stayed pushed in after i totally took my foot off of it. It continued to happen a few times when i was trying to shift into reverse and 1st. Im thinkin it is the cold doing this. Has anyone else had this problem or know what the exact cause could be?

Yes, it's the cold, my 93SE did it too. Just lift it off the floor w/ your foot and let your car warm up 15 minutes. Nothing to be alarmed about.
Good luck !
Keep warm.... Brrrrr

I don't know, but I do know that when the tems are in the single numbers, try moving your stick shift ( if you have one ), feel how hard and stiff it is? Whoah! That didn't sound good at all... Anyway, the cold makes all the fluids turn to thick sludge until the car gets warmed up.

[] You need some better lube my friend.[/]

Get some redline mt-90. My clutch was doing a bit of this the other day, but the shifter was still not too bad even with the B&M.

how low is the temp getting, down here I'm not getting it (obviously) as bad as u guys, but your clutch pedal shouldnt stick to the flow unless there is a problem, I knwo that the fluids will be thick due to the cold temps but the oils were designed to atleast work a bit in those temps at least enuff to start the car so it can get warmed up. But if just letting the car warm up some cures the problem then I guess problem solved.

Can't speak for the others, but mine really isn't sticking...just kind of stiff, and maybe a bit slower to come back up.
