hey lights in doors

hey lights in doors

hey what size are the bulbs in the doors. THose small ones near the bottom i want to change them thanks

They may change in 97+ but i doubt it. I have a 95 and They im using #194 i beleive #161/168 would be oem. You can get them at just about any auto parts place.

How do you change those bulbs? Do you have to take the door apart?

I'd go out and look, but it's freezing and snowing outside.

You have to pop off the plastic lens with the screwdriver so you dont have to take the door apart.

#194 wedge type bulbs, like Jeeve said, the plastic cover pops right off...

They are type 161. This is physically the same size as 194 and 168, but lower wattage (2.7 watts). Directions for replacement are in the Owner's Manual along with a table of light bulb types for each location in the vehicle. In my '98 GXE manual the table is on page 8-26 and the diagram showing how to pry off the cap is on page 8-28

one more thought

Say, once you've popped the cap off you can go for some low-cost bling by replacing the little incandescent bulb with a blue LED assembly! Best one I've seen is from ledtronics.com (# AUT194-0PB-014V)

dam, ledtronics is expensive. you should go with superbrightleds.
