What other sizes of 16" tires can I put safely on my 97 Max SE? Currently OEM 215/55/16. Thanks

Also, If anyone knows of some good tire prices out there it would be greatly appreciated. Tire Rack is best so far $74/tire.

225/50/16 is the best size

I've replaced my stock SE tires twice (once using Pirelli P7000 SuperSports and most recently Michelin Pilot XGT's). I've switched to 225/50/16 and they work great. You'll have a more pronounced fender well gap, but since I have the H&R's, it looks great!

Yep, i use 225/50/16 on my maxima. For the fact rims, the smaller i would use is a 205/55/16. You can use:

205/55/16
215/55/16
215/50/16
225/55/16
225/50/16

There might be more but this is what i can name off the top of my head. Enjoy!

Re: Re: 225/50/16 is the best size

205/55/16 - stock
215/55/16 - .5" larger diameter
215/50/16 - .4" smaller diameter
225/55/16 - .9" larger diameter
225/50/16 - perfect match

Some of these are good, some are not so good.

Dat's true !

It was late, I was sleepy... Here's my redo on the chart:

205/55/16 - .4 smaller
215/55/16 - stock
215/50/16 - .8" smaller
225/55/16 - .4" larger
225/50/16 - .4 smaller

A 235-50-16 would be almost perfect in diameter but .7" wider. I don't know if that presents a clearance problem or not at that diameter. I suspect not, since it's only .35" wider on either side.
