I have been having problems with my car starting, so i changed the starter. After i finished though the car still won't turn over. Before i changed the starter i was getting a whinng noise. But now the car sounds much healther but just won't turn over, leading me tobelive its a sensor i had to disconect. But they all seem to be tight. Doi have to reset the ecu? Please help me.

There is a connector plugged into the red connector on the battery. Unplug this and try to clean any corrosion out as best you can. Applying some contact cleaner will also help. Of all the weather proof connectors under the hood of a car, this one, prone to corrosion, is exposed to the elements.

This was the solution to my starting problem.....you'd turn the key and the starter would crank intermittenantly, or not at all....Sounds similar.

Good luck,
John

clean up your battery and get a V.A.T. To test it out. the battery is there for starting the car and ignition and to regulate the voltage only. 90% of starting problems lie in the battery.
