Car will not start... PLEASE HELP

I had a bad stater and i replaced it. Now i have everything back in place but the car will not start. It sounds like is just about to turn over but won't start. Does anyone have any ideas?

How come you thought it was a starter in the first place?

Is it cranking but not starting, as opposed to not cranking over at all?

I'd take a look at your crankshaft position sensor.

Any codes?

did you have this problem before. any way i have the same problem in my 95 max check the ***** on the starter you took out and make sure that the one you put in has the same amount fo teeths

Where did you get the starter from. Same thing happened to me. Pep boys gave me a bad reman starter. It would spin (makes noise), but would not engage the flywheel to start the car.
