If you're looking for an increase in power, don't buy any intake; get a Y pipe.

If you aren't looking to make huge power and you don't want loud then either keep your stock setup or you can get a K&N filter replacement. Anything other than the stock setup is going to be loud.

Try Fram Airhog panel filter. K&N and fram could be found at Autozone. Drill holes into the lower portion of the airbox for maximum airflow.

you really need to read the FAQ section. you've asked about 5 questions already that coudlve been answered if you read it yourself. short asnwer is the intake wont do jack sh*t for you. and the ypipe will NOT be loud AT ALL, i had an intake on and the intake was 10 times louder than my ypipe. save your money...and read the god d*mn FAQ's in the stickies.

Y-pipe won't add much sound. I think an intake at WOT will be louder than adding a y-pipe.

yea the y pipe doesnt add alot of sound if you keep the stock cat back. you will hear the intake over the y pipe from bout 3500 on. and for like $160 for 15-20 whp you cant beat it. but to answer your question im pretty sure the hacked air box is in the How To's. good luck

Intakes are a waste of money. All they do is make pretty noises.

A Y-pipe is less than $200 and adds a proven 15whp with no noise increase.

If you want quiet buy an underdrive pulley or a y-pipe.

intakes dont add much power, most people just have them cause the sound is awsome on a max.

with a ypipe.. im still going to pass emissions right? and i can still stay on the stock exhaust ? i know it gets very tiring answering these noob questions, but i just dont know much about the max, as compared to an mk4.. i wanna do it right the 1st time, so i dont have to waste cash redoing a setup..

and to those that have answered... thanks for being patient, i wont forget
