fading clock display

I just noticed today that my clock display will disappear and reappear magically... does anybody know what's up with that.. It seems to keep the time correctly with or without the display on.

You mean when you turn your low beam/headlights on? If so, its normal. There is a mod that keeps it light up fully regardless

I've never heard of just the display disappearing but I'm sure others have had this problem as well. As for me, mine will reset itself every so often.

I've never pulled the clock out, so I'm not sure how the connections are. But could there possibly be a short in it?
