Just fill it up 'til the pump shuts off, then push the odometer reset button and go until your pretty empty then fill up 'til the pump shuts off (if you want to be real **** about it then use the same pump). Then devide whatever your trip odometer says by the number of gallons that the pump says you put in (on the second fill-up). Got it?

$28 on Plus (87octane)
Pretty soon I'm going to use the 93 octane when it finally drops to the $1.90 area, thinking of just making it simple by refueling to full when I hit half a tank instead of waitin till almost empty, maybe just maybe I'll some how save money.

Yeah! that's what I was told. That the first half of your tank will have better milage than the second half! So I'm going to start fillin up everytime I hit the half way mark.

my first half always burns quicker than the second b/c i know i have gas.
its the second half a tank i strech out.
btw, how much gas is left when the light comes on, and what determinds when the light comes on?

If you put 14 gallons of gas in your car, the first 7 gallons should burn just as fast as the other 7 gallons, assuming your driving style is the same. Hell, if anything i'm a more calm driver when I have ~ 1/4 tank in the car.

Yeah that's what I explained, that the first half of the tank of gas takes a good long while before it hits the half way mark, but then the 2nd half of the tank just doesn't last long what so ever.

Omg... never let your empty light come on ><
Even on the manual it explains that... the reason is over time the gas tank will have build up and flakes and dirt and you dont want that going into your fuel injectors, you'd have to replace them if they're not pushing out enough fuel.
