Well I read some of the posts.. maybe the tank gets soo full that the needle still reads Full tank for a long while, but also it could be the driving habbits. I tend to not care where and how fast I get there when I have a full tank... but when it's down to half a tank I start to worry and drive no faster than 40mph in hopes that it'll last me a few more days. Also I'm comparing this to city driving not constant driving like on a highway.

I don't get how people can say this. Premium is $0.10 more than the middle ****. That comes out to like $1-2 more..depending how much gas you get..is it really THAT big of a deal???

thats exactly how i feel, its not that big of a difference. people always ask me why i would want to put in gas that is that much more, and im like its only about 2 dollar difference when its all said and done.

running anything under 93 octane(premium) is hurting your car more than anything.

It's in your head because the needle isn't perfectly accurate. The first half (actual liquid, not needle moving) of gas is gone in the same time as the second half.

gas is what you feed your max. u gotta feed her with a healthy meal. would u rather get nasty food for dinner or eat at a 5 star restaurant.

It sounds ridiculous, but there should be a sticky explaining exactly what you just said. You basically take the total miles driven and divide it by gallons consumed. We could make things even more complicated by explaining how to apply the concepts of reliability and validity when using stats. That means you want to drive as many miles as possible before calculating mpg. Then you want to repeat this process as many times as possible. I guess not all high schools can teach division as well as bxscience.edu

What does guessing how much a person can put in the tank in $$$ before overflowing have to do with anything? We'd have to know what was in there to begin with.

Hm.... well I follow the instructions of my manual.. that's the reason why they make manuals for vehicles.. so you can learn how to maintain your vehicle. Manual reads do not let "Empty" Gas light turn on. Unless you don't care about foreign substances enter your fuel injectors then do what ya gotta do.
