Front Lip Repair...or mod?

I've got rust-through on the very end of my front lip....both ends. The car is a 96. Should I take the car to a body shop and get it repaired back to stock? The ends of the lip are actually part of the fenders...and I don't want to replace the fenders. Will they be able to weld on some metal and repair? Has anyone had this done?
I was also thinking I can sand and grind off the rust and prime the bare metal and then install an aftermarket lip. This way you would never see the holes. The rust is only on the lip. Anyone know what's involved in installing an aftermarket lip? Anything other than Stillen available?
Thanks for any advice.

I'll try to use very basic English for the previous two posters.
The "Lip" is the very bottom edge of the stock bumper on a Maxima.

You don't have to come back and act all condescending and what not. You asked about a front lip. You should have said the bottom edge of the front bumper not the lip because Maxima's really don't have much of a lip on them stock and no other place makes a lip other than Stillen and that is made out of urethane. So with you first question they gave you the right answer so you don't have to act like your a genius and they are idiots because it is the other way around. And to asnwer your last two questions there is a post like a page back about intsalling a lip it tells you there but basically the 3M tape that it comes with and screws. And Stillen is the only lip out there unless you make the home made "Ludalip".

Yes, but a front lip refers to a aftermarket part

What would the point of this be? Are you going to keep the car forever? I'd sayjust let it be.

Are you refering to bumper cover or the actual bumper?
