Making spoiler light in leds (purple)

I saw something across a h-rice the other day.
It was like a purple tint cover that looked nice but i was wonderin if anyone has tried LEDs in the spoiler.... any ideas?

what circuit do you need from radio shack to get the basics?
i was thinking they might sell 2 * 6inch led strips that i could solder and try it with..

anyideas or am i crazy..
ps. I've got the light apart! im tryin

Wow crazy serious alert!

I dont even think LED's are sold in Purple, you'd need a strip like mine, take out the red LED's inside and put white ones in and cover or paint it in purple

dont know what your point is, your going to get a ticket for it and it looks really stupidly

Wow, I just saw your web page. Outstanding work on your car. You even got the dent out of the trunk almost perfectly and you have a REAL shaved trunk. Just swap the amber front bumper lights for some diamond cut clears. It'd be awesome if you could get some red/clears for the tail even though I know it's hard for that year Maxima.

At first I thought your purple LED question was ridiculous but I guess it goes with the car's color. However I still think it'd be :rice: but not as much as I did before.

The only purple LED's I've seen are ultraviolet LED's. They are the color of blacklights. Perhaps this is the color you are are looking for. You will need a clear spoiler light for the color to show through as Ant96GLE above mentioned but it should give you the desired color.

I don't know where to get the clear wing LED lense. Ant96GLE above has one but I don't remember where he got it.

You definitley need some clear corners on that nose.

Again, awesome job though.
