Stillen lip installation...
Hey all, anyone installed a Stillen lip or something similar? What's involved in the installation....screws, adhesive??? Is it pretty easy to install. Can it be painted at home, or should a pro do it? Thanks.

Yeah, the Stillen lip on its own might not look that good. This thread explains why I'm considering it http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=373358
Anyone have any other ideas?

ok i installed my lip like 3 weeks ago.
1) go to home depot and purchase some heavy duty double sided molding/exterior tape. purchase the one that has red cover on the outside with the tape itself being gray. also buy some #6 x 3/4" METAL screws. METAL screws drill through the bumper which is metal and makes ur job a lot easier. you need like only 4 screws for the lip.
2) if u have a clay bar, clay the surface where the lip meets the bumper and then use alcohol to clean up the surface even more. let it dry for 15 minutes.
3) put the lip on and mark the area where its gonna sit using a pencil.
4) grab the tape and put it where the lip will actually touch the bumper. the more tape the better (Trust me on this). i put the tape infront of the fogs, in between the fogs right infront of the radiator (i put 3 rows here) as well as the sides near the fenders.
5) heat the tape with hair drier very well so that it sticks. grab the lip and slap it on. make sure you press VERY hard on all areas so that it sticks.
6) drill 2 screws into the fenders (in the wheel well area) on each side and you're done.
whole thing takes 30 minutes tops !
