going to do the 9007 MOD: need to decide on bulbs

i read good things about Mtec and Nokya bulbs. I want a white light but not blue. i don't want to buy expensive bulbs like piaa. I'll wire a relay and plan on using high-wattage bulbs and perhaps even rotate the bulb so the high-beam is lower. what bulbs do you guys use.

I didn't have a good experience with 100/80W Mtec 9004's. Lousy at night and especially when raining. Longetivity is not there, even though I had the heavy duty harness.
I did the 9007 conversion with the harness and am happy using Sylvanias.

another question i have is why do people buy 'upgraded' harness that plugs right into the stock wiring w/o using a relay? they claim that the higher wattage will melt the stock wiring. but when you plug in the thicker upgraded harness into the stock wiring, the current still have to go thru the thinner stock wire which makes the upgraded harness useless. am i missing something here?

i currently have 9004 silverstars and don't really care for them too much plus they're more expensive.

I have the MTECs and like them. Their a bright white. I really dont see any blue to them.
I had Nokya artic whites prior to them and they were really blue.
