Car overheating.....well kinda

so yesterday i took my 98 i30 for a nice long drive on the highway and a little while into it i felt as though it was getting to hot inside so i lowered my temp but it still got to hot so i lowered it again this time to 65 degrees. by now the fan was on low (only 1 out of 4) but it was still blowing really really hot air into the pass. compartment. i had to turn it off and open a window it was so hot. anyway im just wondering why it got so hot it was like 30 degrees outside. i was thinking mabye the blend control or somthing any ideas?

I have no idea what could be wrong with your car.

I just found it funny that you're complaining it's too hot in your car and another poor guy is complaining he has no heat in single digit weather.
