ECU Upgrade/CAI
the ECU is upgraded by several components.
first the main onbaord EPROM chip is desoldered and then the program on it is down loaded onto a local drive on the computer. there, the program is then tweaked, with advanced timing, and rearranged fuel maps. the solder is replaced in the ecu. this new program is uploaded to a new circuit board, and this circuit board is wired to the correct locations.
then that's it!
trouble is, these EPROM chips have like 25-50 pins each. and must be professionally installed with the correct hardware and tools..
