Spoiler screws

Hi, I just noticed that I am like missing screws from 1 side of my spoiler. Bought a 99' Maxima GLE 2 months ago, just noticed it now. Anyone know where to get the replacement screws? It is on the left side, looking from the back.

GLE's don't come with factory spoilers i believe. I dunno if the stock screws are the same though. Good Luck.

GLEs come with spoilers, it was an option that could be added to any trim level.

I'd suggest taking off a screw from the other side and find a match at homedepot, theys nothing special about them you shoul be able to find it in homedepot pretty quickly.

It seems like it's like a nut and bolt. The GLE came with factory spoilers. Anyone got any extras they can sell?

An OEM spoiler has 4 nutts (bolts molded into spoiler) for the inner posts and 4 plastic cup and tab things for the outer posts. No screws.

Do you have any pictures? I am confused with this nut and bolt thing. It's just for one side, where I see 2 "pieces" that is on the spoiler itself. How would I replace or readjust them?

Okay, I just took a closer look at the spoiler. It have the bolts on the spoiler itself, but what is it connected to on the trunk lid? I see 2 white plastics, but it seems like it does nothing..?? I tried putting some weight to force the bolts onto those 2 plastics, but didn't get it to stick to it. Confused.

the spoiler itself has those 2 white things at the ends and toward the middle those 2 long bolts comming out, those going into holes on the trunk and from inside the trunk get bolted down so they sit firm.

I wish my digicam had batteries I'd take a pic for you.

I do see those. But it does not get bolted down...take some pic if you have time =D I will take some pic when temperature gets warmer here. It's semi sticking out at the end of the spoiler. I only see 1 hole from under the trunk, and it does not seem to align??

The white plastic pieces are broken, same thing happend to me. Think of the clip on the spoiler (sticking down) as a ball and the grommet in the trunk lid as a socket. They fit into each other very tightly, but as time goes by, or some one feels like pulling at your spoiler, they get really loose fail and break. They will not snap and hold together any more. I went to the dealer and got all new parts, for of each:

clip part # 01553-04631 list price$5.20
grommet part # 01553-09621 list price $2.37

taking off the original spoiler usually results in breaking the bolts because they are rusted or stripping them from their mold in the spoiler, making the bolt and nut spin as one and they wont unscrew.

All this happend to me so I basically ripped the last few bolts out of the spoiler went to Homedepot, bought new nuts and bolts and then JB welded them into the spoiler. Then I installed the new dealer parts and put the whole thing back on.

This is what I got from an email from a dealer nearby:

"Thank you for giving Dorschel Nissan the oppurtunity to service your automotive needs. The nuts and bolts you are inquiring on for your 1999 Nissan Maxima spoiler will have to be ordered, this process takes 3-4 business days. We list 4 nuts, 4 grommets, 4 clips and 2 spacers that are required for mounting a spoiler on your vehicle. The price for all of these parts combined is $78.08 plus nys sales tax. If you would like to order these, we do require special ordered parts to be prepaid. This can be done by stopping in to see us or over the phone. Again thank you for giving Dorschel Nissan the oppurtunity to service your automotive needs."

I have to buy 2 clips and 2 grommet part and that should fix it?

What are the nuts and the spacers for? If I do get the parts, how do I install it? I am kinda confused on how to put in the grommet and the clips. Seems like both of those are stuck on either ends.
