foglight HID's

hey, i just finished putting in projectors and 10,000k HID's in my car, and i was looking into putting HIDS into the fogs...is there HID kits that will fit into the fog lights or am i going to have to do some custom work?
thanks for the help!

you will have to take out the metal peice that goes over the bulb in the foglight to fit the HID in there. Why on earth did you put 10,000k's in a projectors? rediculous.....

argh, one day you will try a 4000k HID bulb and wonder what the heck were thinking with 10,000K...

But I agree with Manual Maxima's advice...

HID's are horrible in the fog, halogen bulbs are much better, but if you want to do it for show it should look good.

And anything above 6000K is useless as far as light output, regular halogen bulbs will outperform at that point, but again there is show and there is functionality.

Personally I like 4100k that have color shifted to 5000k, they give off a little bit more blue but only loose a little as far as output

I have 8000k

and trust me, it is not useless as far as light output and it does outperform regular halogen bulbs.
even though it is the headlights, im sure fog's will still be brighter than halogen fogs.

yeah. anyone know if there are available YELLOW hid kits? coz i want my foglights to be yellow kinda like a cadillac style or an evo IV rally car light. my hids right now are 7000k. output is fine and color will get you noticed. so i think its best for both worlds.

any HID bulb is ten steps up from halogen bulbs......i have 8000K fog lights and they throw beams of light down the road that my stock headlights can't touch

the kelvin you choose will just change the blue-ish/purple light your bulbs produce

and the higher the kelvins the lower the lumens, and the more the light is absorbed by the asphalt
