spark plugs, platinum or iridium??

I know that platinum ngk plugs are recommended for the max, but the ngk website states that the new iridium ix give the best performance and are better all around plugs. If anyone has any helpful knowledge i would greatly appreciate it.

afaik the iridium plugs are more towards the racing and nitrous setup, other than that the platinums work just as good

Just to be a pain in the @$$: coppers. NGK bkr5e-11.

Thats if you're changing them yourself. They last half as long as the plats, but cost alot less (<$2 rather than like $10). Don't bother with the iridiums. So just choose between plats and coppers depending on whether you would rather spend alot more or change them twice as often.

i have the iridums and didnt notice anything special, only more smoothness but that might be only because they were new plugs comparing to my old ones.

Platinums are good for 60k miles. Can't go wrong with that.
