Oil leak..And tranny leak...

What could it be?. any takers. When I first bought the car I noticed a little oil leak, but it magically disappeared. After I switched to synthentic, it returned. Now I noticed my tranny is leaking.

you tranny leaking could be your rear main seal need replacing or maybe your tranny itself is leaking, mine leaked thru the imput shaft and I had to get a whole new tranny.

the engine where is it leaking from?

how much did you pay for the car? why would you buy a car with oil leaks?

Dude whatever you do don't wait to get it done or looked at. I waited way too long to get mine looked at and repaired and it cost me an exedy satge 1 clutch, tranny mount, a resurfaced flywheel and a new tranny. All in all i'm out about $1300. Have someone look at it right away. if it's just the seals then that's not so bad but get it done soon. If it's leaking from the input shaft like MDeezy said then you can be in a world of hurt. Also the oil leak, check to see if it's from the pan, the seal or somewhere else.

I waited and the tranny oil that was leaking out of the input shaft soaked into my clutch, so not only did I have to get a new tranny but a new clutch also, and that clutch only had 400 miles on it at the most. what a shame it was

Yeah I got my clutch replaced at the beginning of last year so I had it for about a year. It almost seems like soon after they replaced the clutch I started noticing something different in the tranny but I never paid any attention to it. If I knew then, what I know now.
