Before I installed my remote start, I usually let it warm up for 3-5min. Any more and I think it's a waste. I'd let it warm up for that amount of time and then not "get on it" until it finished warming up.

umm...ur gonna open a can of worms here buddy....

"the book says at least 30 seconds"

"my dad's f150 idles 15 mins every morning, and it's got 200,000 miles"

"any more than 2 minutes and ur gonna hurt themotor, the oil doesnt get to where it needs to go at idle"

"Show me in the book where it says "at most" 30 seconds"

LOL

do whatever u think...i let mine run 30-45 secs, then drive slow, under 2500 rpm till warm

the 1st minte is for oil pressure to build/circulate. the next 15 or so, until the needle says it's all ready to go, under 3,000.

I idle until the RPM's reach 1000. The colder the days, the longer it takes. Anywhere from half a minute to 5 minutes.

Then off I go, keeping it under 2000-ish until the temp gauge reaches the middle.

When the needs hit the C. Keep it under 2500RPM first few minutes. I don't think it'll hurt the engine if you idle moderately. It won't do the motor any good to idle it too long, not necessary.
