SES light - on/off...hmmmmmmmm

Ok after my motor swap......I knew I wasnt going to drive home scott free w/ no codes. My Maxima is a 98, the motor is a 95. During the swap....I switched out the entire EGR system and rear exhaust manifold.

Sometime during the ending procedure of connecting all the EGR hoses and vacum lines - I MIGHT have put one in the wrong place. Here's what it's doing now...

I had 1 code (p0400) EGR flow malfunction...and I drove on it for about a month. I switched out MAFS with someone here....turned the car on, unplugged the MAF, and the car shut off (duh). I plugged it back in.......cranked up the car...SES is on of course. I didnt have the OBD-II handy. But I assumed it was the MAF and or EGR flow. On my way to work the same day...SES light turns off...and stays off until 2 days ago. When it came on again...I didnt have OBD-II handy AGAIN. But I went to Jays place to pick it up....and WHAT HAPPENS??? SES turns off.............

Now there are NO codes and no light. Has this happened to anyone?

mine has done that a few times... driving home from atlanta one night the light came on, was going to go the next day to get the codes run, start the car & no codes... i guess just keep the OBD-II on you all the time...
