i was with my wife and 20mnth old son yesterday and i stopped at auto advance to get some oil so i popped the hood and went inside to get the oil. when i came out my wife had the car running so i decided to wait till i get home to measure the level of oil and add the right amount after it sits alittle bit so we are driving home going no more then 35mph until we hit a high way after paying a toll. i was in the slow lane and a car in front of me was going extremly slow so i just wanted to get pass this one car so this is when the title makes sence. i accelerated to pass him going from 45mph to 55mph (go mevii) and it hit me right in the face the hood that is. being that my hood was slighty backed into you cant tell if its popped or not you have to go out and pull up on the hood to get your fingers to the release lever. anyway i never closed the hood and it had a not so funny way of telling us that. the funny thing is i was reading a thread about a carbon fiber hood on ebay acouple of hours before it happened (go figure) but we are alright just need a hood .

so can someone give me some options on carbon fiber hoods of where i can get one and possibly the prices you guys paid. i dont really want to go ebay cause i dont know the quality or the cut out of the hood but i will if i have too.

I got in on the group deal from custom carbons for 300 shipped. Of the people that have recieved the hoods so far they have been happy with the quality. The group deal thru them has ended but custom carbons has been selling them on ebay as well, and another member just picked on up for 300 shipped thru ebay.
