not much spent here

I have had my 98 max se 5spd for only 3 months but Ive spent $8700 for car, $20 for clear corners, $20 for mats, $500 in subs and amps, $150 for cd player. So Ive really only spent $690. More mods to come though.

havent gotten the chance to do anything yet. I kinda got a maxima instead of a 240sx so that i WOULDNT mod myself into financial ruin. heres what i plan on doing(excluding maintanance):

Y-Pipe $200
tires $300
Stereo $600
interior mods $200
FSTB $50

I think thats where I'll stop. College expensive

all you people spent $$ on mods but at least your car looks nice, i spent quite a bit and my car still looks like a beater, i guess i have to get off my lazy *** to install all this stuff

stuff on car
550 tokico kit
450 axis pads/ brembo/ss lines
130 RSB
300 y pipe/high flow cat
340 raxle
150 transmission cooler/mobil 1 atf
100 cai/FSTB/grounding
350 crappy 15" all seasons tires
60 belt tensioner
80 front bumper
80 pass fender

stuff in garage
500 urethane rear bumper/sideskirts
200 z3 fenders
600 18" rim
200 00vi/inject/tb
140 98 cluster
200 projectors
90 300zx bracket/rings

i still need about 5k at least to get the car to what i want it to be. and 8k-9k if i want to boost it. but then im still stuck with the crappy suspension, and fwd. im thinking bout just sellign off my mods keep it as a beater and drop 10k down payment on the is300

Damn right, every penny spent is worth it. I love going out after that fresh wash and watching the black paint gleam in the sunlight, and I think to myself, Yes, all the money spent was worthwhile.

Yeah it's nice to really see and feel the progress done to the car, but at the same time I always find more and more things to do to it. It's a never ending cycle. A few years ago I thought all I needed was a stillen kit and wheels to be content with the car... but now that's nowhere near enough.

rims+tires= $1700
Suspension= $500
Audio System = $700
Brakes = $300
Supercharger w/mods = $4000 SOLD
Misc. = $500

I'd say i spent $8000 but sold the SC so now the car has $4000 invested into it. But like everyone said. After you wash the car you certainly love it.
