I stopped actually adding up receipts years ago, it got pointless. So it's all estimates now.

$7K in paint and bodywork. Includes body kit, CF hood, shaving, fuel door, etc.

$4K in suspension and wheels.

$6K in the engine, includes the turbo, nitrous, intercooler sprayer, injectors, exhaust and so on.

$6K in the interior. Includes the racing seats, custom upholstery, the billet stuff we custom made, MOMO wheel, etc.

$10K in the stereo. This still has to be finished, includes all the fiberglass, metal amp racks, 4 amps, 3 caps, 2 monitors, 5.1 surround stuff, speakers.

And this week, I'm ordering new wheels, that's another $2,500.

All this is just the current version. The car is on it's 2nd paintjob, 3rd interior, 3rd stereo setup, 3rd suspension setup, I had the Stillen SC but dumped it for the custom turbo. I think the previous version was around ~$20K for it all. And it doesn't include regular maintenance and replacement of stock parts, just upgrades.

But I think I'm pretty much done. The car spends so much time down being worked on that I just want to drive it. That and the fact that I know I could be rolling an AMG E55 right now for what I've put into this car. At least most of it's a business expense, the car is a rolling billboard for my shop.

About $12k in mods since I got the car 5 months ago.

BTW people, adding the cost of repairs and maintenance is stupid, that's just part of driving.

Hmm:

1999 Nissan Maxima GXE - $4000
Can of Krylon Fusion - $7.95

yeah... Well, after I pay off the car, I'll do a lot more - and as things break, I'll upgrade them... course the problem with that is this car was really well maintained by it's previous owner...

1995 Maxima: $6,000 (Got it in 2002 with 77k Miles)

Mods: K&N Reusable Airfilter ($50) White/Red Taillights ($250, yeah whatever) Clear Front Turn lights. ($15) Even though their broken now along with a dented hood and black fender that cost me another $85. -_-

Repairs: I always got good deals on my parts and labor, but it's a shame I couldnt have used that money for mods instead. In all I would have to say I spent a good $2,200 in parts and whatnot. (Transmission Solenoid Pack, various sensors, ignition coils, radiator, water pump, timing chain guides, updated timing chain tensioner, etc.)

I can't complain though. She has 193k Miles on her now and still beats most challengers! No, not the car. Unless i'ts a V6 challenger of course...

Many $1000's!!!!!....from the supercharger and the goodies that go with it (sc kit, gauges, tranny/motor upgrades, etc....) to the suspension (springs, struts, FSTB, RSTB, RSB....etc) that ties the power to the road the BBK (calipers, rotors, Braded lines....etc) that tames it and the look good parts (stillen body kit, wheels, tires, tail lights, new paint, new interior parts for the refresh). Funny enough I havn't spent very much in repairs Just the basic stuff brake pads, oil changes, a starter, and battery. the alt. ws replaced under warrenty so that didn't cost anything.

lol. I'm all about the look and aesthetics. I don't really care much for performance, although I did have a full exhaust and an 00VI at one time.
