i have a knock sensor problem i have replaced the knock sensor and i still have the same symptoms sluggish performance but i noticed the harness it was taped up and the negivtive wire was not hooked up to the sensor though the harness. i was wondering if anyone else was like this or is my harness just messed up

Oh the Knock Sensor. I just replaced mine, all went well. I don't think there is a negative wire hooked up to the knock sensor, because mine didn't have one either. Mine just had the orange coloured wire going to the knock sensor. A closer inspection of the harness, the part that plugs in to the knock sensor, it doesn't even look like there is a place for a negative wire. That is maybe why they stress after a replacement, to make sure you remove those two 10mm harness grounding bolts, that are up by the intake manifold, and clean them both with emery cloth (Clean all the parts). Apparently these are important to ensure that the knock sensor is properly grounded. Try this, and see if it helps. Did you erase your code in the ecu? It will not show on your Check Engine Light, the knock sensor throws a ghost code, but I think you may still have to reset the ecu. The ghost code on my OBDll tester was 03 25, and I just reset it with the "erase" button. All went well, the power came back, and it breezed through aircare. Good luck.
