HKS catback...

Anyone have the HKS catback exhaust? I was hoping Magnaflow made a catback exhaust for 95-96 but, apparently they don't make one. How does the HKS sound....I'm looking for a deep tone...how does it compare to the Greddy Or the Stillen?

I don't think they actually have one. I think I remember this being discussed before, for some reason it shows on their website, but if you call them, they don't actually have it. That is what I remember of it anyhow.

it does exist but it is not a cat-back, it is an axel back. Basically the muffler with the piping that bolts to the b-pipe. You would still need a b-pipe to make it a complete cat-back.

^So he shouldn't get the HKS for his car cause they discontinued it for your friend's Teg?
From what I read HKS only makes axle back for the max, like Mike mentioned, and stillen muffler are actually HKS, from what I've read.

I had an HKS axle-back for a while. It was nice and deep, and not too loud until I got a Stillen b-pipe. I ended up putting a resonator in the b-pipe because of the awful drone at 2500 rpm. Eventually some internal baffle in the muffler came unwelded and it buzzed at every 800 rpm interval starting at 1000 rpm. I had to take it off because it sounded so bad.

By the way, I flow tested the HKS muffler and compared it against the Apexi WS muffler. The Apexi had less pressure drop, and the sound level is about the same.

we raced each other a couple times, all he has is a v2 AEM intake.
we both came close couple times, i had him on some days as he did too.
also raced my friends lexus something. took him off the line twice by powerbrakin.
it was fun.

i might just get a magnaflow and replace the y-pipe
