I've got a weird whir / rattle at start up at the moment... I know my timing chain tensioner and guide need to be replaced, but this noise developed over the last few months and was intermittent at first, but is fairly common now... I start the car up and it fires off like normal, but before the revs drop to normal idle, you can hear a "whir" from the engine... it still drives pretty strong, only minor hesitation right around 3krpm at times. Just curious if its only the tensioner/guide or if it was something else I need to be checking. I've got no codes/lights/other issues... good fuel mileage (like 350+ per tank mix of highway/city).

I wasn't originally concerned too much about it as I was trying to dispose of the car (bankruptcy issues) but I've decided to buy it from the bank (at a major discount I might add, $2500 vs the almost $6k I owed on it) so obviously taking care of things is now priority one... fixing all the minor issues/nusances...
