Maybe you could keep **** like that to yourself? And I'm afraid I won't be dieing, nor will the springs be failing anytime soon.
I don't remember saying they are permanent either. I just wanted a lowered car for a car show in Louisville in 2 weeks, can't go into the boom-room without a lowered car you know.

The thread was fine before you decided to "intervene." Your opinion on stabability was not asked, nor wanted. And as for stereotyping my friends as 'ricers', I am afraid unless you knew me in person, that would be pretty difficult for you conclude. I'm glad I got out of NY, too many people like you.
Once again I'll post pics for you tomorrow, whoever asked. Have a good night everyone.

1. Stock springs will not give you the same amount of dampening force when they are cut.
2. You will not have the same suspension travel.
Which means when you hit a bump, all you will be hitting is bumpstop. Let me guess stock struts? Yea those will be gone soon too. And just so you know, you could be riding on bumpstops welded together, on a smooth surface any car will ride smooth, when you get into rough roads is when it matters.
Now when you take a turn you areriding on bare bumpstop which is no wonder why you have no sway. God forbid you hit a pothole while taking that turn, your suspension has no travel to dampen the force of the pothole creating a very dangerous situation. So lets reiterate, your using springs from another car, rear ones cut in half... well its your life, your car... your still young so it doesnt matter anyway.
oh and by the way, before I "intervened" your retarded post

i had my '88 Acura Legend couple slammed 4.25" in the front from cut intraxx springs. was the titest lookin old-school AC in the WORLD. but the drop ultimately led to her death.
barely cleared speedbumps and took reflectors off the road

Had nothing to do with the posters original question.

1. As the suspension unloads (either in a cornering situation, or over a bump) the cut springs can be too short to maintain contact with the upper and lower seats. They can actually become unseated and fall out of position. Then when the car comes back down, the only thing supporting it is the strut (NOT GOOD, NOT SAFE).
2. When in a corner (as mentioned above) you will be at or near the bump stops. If you hit a slight bump while mid corner, your suspension has no room to compress. You will slam into the bumpstops, upset the balance of the car, and potentially slide. Once again, not safe!
Conclusion: Cut springs are a bad idea!
